Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Watsonville Residents Directory, a private reference to Santa Cruz County and California records. Using the pages means that you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the reference.

1. What This Reference Is

Watsonville Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections that may show who lives or lived in Watsonville, California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with Watsonville City Hall, Santa Cruz County, California agencies, a court, library, or records custodian.

2. Rules for Using These Pages

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or a linked result to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish page content at scale.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the reference.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Nothing here, and nothing returned by a linked search service, is a consumer report. No result may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by that federal law.

4. Links to Outside Services

County and state portals, libraries, archives, courts, and sponsored search providers maintain their own terms and privacy practices. Watsonville Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, fees, results, or handling of submitted information.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page, link, office detail, fee, collection year, or record description is accurate, complete, current, or available. A linked portal may change or return an incomplete result.

6. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource, including a decision made from a record found through them.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original text, design, logo, and layout belong to their respective rights holders and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after the revision is posted means that the updated terms are accepted.

10. Cutting Off Access

Access may be blocked or restricted when a user violates these terms, abuses the pages, or threatens their operation. That action may occur without advance notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, without applying conflict-of-law principles. California public-record requests are governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following, and California privacy choices may be governed by the California Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following, including sections 1798.105 and 1798.120 and the Delete Act provisions in section 1798.99.80 and following. Those statutes apply to the relevant custodian or business; this private reference cannot change a government record.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page.
